GOGO Fruit Cold Rooms — Groblersdal, Limpopo
Location
Groblersdal, Limpopo, South Africa
Sector
Status
Completed
A 10,000 m² cold room structural steel development designed and supplied by LEMCO for GOGO Fruit in Groblersdal, Limpopo. The facility was engineered to support large-scale citrus post-harvest cooling and cold chain operations.
Agricultural cold rooms require precision structural planning to manage heavy roof loads, thermal insulation panels, and continuous internal temperature control. Positioned in Limpopo's primary citrus farming corridor, the 10,000 m² footprint was designed around the specialized operational requirements of high-volume fruit handling.
LEMCO provided complete design and supply structural steel services for the development. The engineering team designed long-span steel framing to eliminate internal obstructions, enabling efficient movement for temperature-controlled storage, sorting, and logistics.
### Engineering High-Performance Agricultural Cold Chain Infrastructure
All structural steel components were detailed and fabricated in-house to exact specifications before being delivered to the Limpopo site. This ensured fast, precise assembly while maintaining structural integrity and material efficiency across the entire 10,000 m² footprint.
The completed development provides GOGO Fruit with a durable, low-maintenance agricultural facility built to support long-term operational performance and cold chain reliability.
